The students who do best in HKDSE English aren't the ones who study hardest the week before the exam, they're the ones who read in English every day, even for ten minutes. P1T1 is that ten minutes. Five short passages a week, written to be the right level for daily practice, with questions designed to build skills one at a time. The point isn't a specific grade. The point is that reading English stops feeling like a wall.

5 short passages a week · 每週 5 篇短文. Monday to Friday. Each one is 200 to 230 words and takes about 10 minutes.

Friday consolidation · 週五整合練習. A slightly longer set every Friday to pull the week's skill together.

P1T1 runs in three phases over 12 weeks. Phase 1 (Weeks 1 to 4) is Foundation: passages at Lexile 750 to 900L, deliberately below DSE Paper 1 Part A baseline, so the daily habit forms without friction. Phase 2 (Weeks 5 to 8) is Build: 900 to 1000L, introducing more challenging skill types. Phase 3 (Weeks 9 to 12) is Bridge: 1000 to 1100L, the level where DSE Paper 1 Part A texts actually sit. By Week 12, your child is reading something they couldn't have read on Day 1, and may not have noticed the climb.

How much time per day? Around 10 minutes Monday to Friday, one short passage plus a few questions. Weekends are off. My child isn't very strong in English. Is this too hard? No, that's exactly who Phase 1 is built for. Passages start below DSE Part A level, so the habit forms without friction. Is this DSE Paper 1 prep? It's daily reading practice that builds toward DSE Paper 1 readiness. A future tier, will add the inference, summary, and main-idea work that is more squarely exam-targeted. Can I cancel anytime? Yes. Monthly subscriptions cancel anytime from your account. What is the difference from the free taster? The free taster is a 5-day, 5-skill introduction. The paid Paper 1 Daily practice is the ongoing 12-week daily reading rhythm. Are the passages real exam passages? No. Every passage is original, written specifically for the right reading level. That is a feature, not a limitation: it lets us control difficulty exactly. Is this only for Hong Kong students? Primarily, but mainland-based HK permanent residents preparing for DSE as private candidates are welcome.
